Under the supervision of the site administrator, provides sequential standards- based visual arts instruction for pupils in Grades K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or a combination thereof and assists inother school programs as assigned. Creates a flexible elementary-grade program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. Establishes effective rapport with pupils to motivate them to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further participation in the total school program, in accordance with each pupil's ability and to meet the Visual and Performing Arts Content Standards for California in Media Arts.

Establishes good relationships with parents and other staff members. Supervises instructional assistants, student teachers, and parent volunteers when applicable.

Requirements / Qualifications

1.Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with supplemental authorization in Music or 2. Single Subject Music Teaching Credential 3.
