3M's Manufacturing & Maintenance (M2) Apprenticeship Program

The M2 Apprenticeship is intended to provide experience-based training in conjunction with a two-year technical degree program. As a 3M M2 you will have the opportunity to work at a leading-edge manufacturing or corporate engineering locations

This position limited to 899 hours per service year and may require weekend work as needed.

As a Multi-Skilled Technician Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Facilitating, planning, and documenting the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and replacement of existing and new manufacturing equipment

  • Diagnosing, programming, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical equipment and components

  • Reporting to and performing other tasks established by the Plant Engineering Supervisor

  • Receiving relevant work experience that complements your education and accelerates your career goals

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a two-year technical degree/diploma in a manufacturing or maintenance field related to electromechanical systems, mechatronics, automation and robotics systems, machine tool technology, or process controls

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude in a manufacturing environment

  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

Communicating with team members and other agencies, evaluating and documenting out-comes, and maintaining or modifying the plan and performing related work as required. The BMA serves as a principal provider of behavior modification services to the work site team. Similar and/or related private-sector's job titles: Human Services Technician (HST), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Mental Health Worker, Behavior Technician II, Mental Health Caregiver, and DSP Caregiver. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, and/or co-occuring diagnosis. * Experience with verbal de-escalation strategies and working with individuals who exhibit agressive behaviors. * Clear communication skills to understand and communicate complex services with community members, employers and teams. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Basi math and computer skills. * Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. * Must be able to perform all physical/essential requirements with or without reasonable accommodation(s). Preferred Qualifications * Experience collecting and summarizing datat to document program delivery by observation, charting and measuring.
