Position Title:

External Description:

Prepare and review blueprints, Development Designs (DD's), elevation drawings, schematic drawings, and technical construction specifications.

Manage project issues, schedule of work, proposed changes to project, material selection and overall project costs.

Review architectural, mechanical, and structural design and engineering plans and consult on space design, material selection, and multimedia systems.

Meet with business units and stakeholders to determine the appropriate AV need and formulate design. Complete site evaluation to determine the project requirements and design specifications and budgets.

Possess in depth knowledge of the general AV systems/infrastructures; troubleshoot all AV/VC equipment malfunctions, LCD/LED's, Switch Matrix, RX/TX, HD scaler , web-based conference apps, Crestron control system, & digital signage

  • Design AV/Multimedia integrated projects, prepare reports and specs, and provide a high level of technical leadership.

  • Review Development Designs, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration

  • Design skills and deployment experience with AV technologies such as room control, room automation, video conferencing, audio processors and digital signage

  • Collaborate with various integrators to leverage pre-defined specs/requirements to deliver AV engineering designs to enhance existing collaboration conferencing workspaces

  • Administer Polycom Resource Manager server for the configuring and deploying H.323 endpoint

  • Troubleshoot Crestron Fusion AV monitoring and room scheduling server

  • Provide on premise support to special live events such as town-hall meetings. Gather and interpret technical multimedia requirements and escalate if additional equipment or resources are needed

  • Responsible for maintaining a collaborative relationship with AV counterparts in remote and global offices.

  • Carry out ongoing regular preventive room checks and maintenance of the equipment and firmware/software updates.

  • Ensure conference rooms are functional, presentable, tidy, safe and hazard free of all cables

  • Provide status reports to ensure effective resolution of issues/concerns.

  • Escalation to manager and vendor support for AV related issues beyond onsite technician scope when issues cannot be rectified

  • Replace defective materials and repair faulty equipment through coordinating/organizing with the preferred vendor.

  • Make temporary repairs and provide loaner equipment if defective materials cannot be permanently replaced or repaired, when feasible.

  • Travel to support real estate related new build-out projects as required

  • The position involves a high degree of exposure working with SLT's.

  • Liaison with AV integrators during trouble determination, evaluation, and resolution and processes all repair orders accurately and quickly to ensure technician response.

This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology.
