Sentinel U creates virtual nursing simulations and clinicals that are engaging, effective and convenient for learners to safely learn anywhere. Our growing portfolio of forward-thinking learning and training resources leverage the latest in digital simulation, virtual (voice) agents, and other relevant technologies. We have a base of nursing school clients and we're expanding into healthcare professional development training. Our virtual EdTech products integrate into nursing academic and healthcare professional development programs that enhance learning by offering practice experience while building confidence and critical thinking skills.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This position, under the direction of the Executive Director for Learning Innovation, is responsible for developing custom high-quality instructional multimedia for our growing catalog of digital learning solutions. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and commercial team members to create engaging and informative content that enhances the overall learning experience for users.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and edit multimedia assets, including audio, video, and virtual simulations.

  • Collaborate with the innovation team to understand learning objectives and content requirements for instructional videos.

  • Break down complex concepts into digestible instructional video presentations that are engaging and easy to understand for learners.

  • Develop storyboards for instructional videos, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and instructional design principles.

  • Create high-quality video content using various tools and software, including video editing software, screen recording tools, motion graphic and animation software.

  • Manage contractors to collect voiceovers and narrations for instructional videos, ensuring clarity and professionalism.

  • Supports character development including voice-overs, animation, scene development, and storytelling.

  • Edit and enhance video footage to ensure accuracy, clarity, and visual appeal.

  • Incorporate interactive elements and assessments into instructional videos to promote active learning and engagement.

  • Ensure that instructional videos comply with accessibility standards and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with design team to ensure branding consistency and adherence to Sentinel U brand guidelines.

  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and best practices in instructional video development and educational technology.

  • Support commercial efforts as needed with the creation of public-facing explainer videos, facilitator resources, sales tools, etc.

  • Assist with the development of clear and comprehensive product descriptions.

  • Meet and commit to project deadlines.

  • Multitask effectively between multiple projects by being nimble and timely.

  • Organize and maintain multimedia resources and asset licensure documentation.

  • Performs other duties as needed.

JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, multimedia design, film production or a related field.

  • Proven experience developing polished instructional videos for virtual simulations or other educational technology products/services.

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Camtasia.

  • Strong storytelling with the ability to translate complex concepts into engaging video content.

  • Experience working with AI-created assets, such as AI-generated images/graphics, voiceovers, or animations is highly desirable.

  • Thorough understanding of legal and commercial use of video, images/graphics, and audio assets, including copyright laws and licensing agreements.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to work remotely in a Microsoft Teams environment for collaboration and communication with team members and stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality video content that meets the needs of audience.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines for multimedia content is a plus.

  • Experience with animation software such as Adobe After Effects or Vyond is desirable.

  • A portfolio of previous instructional video projects is required to apply.
