Multimedia Specialist, Senior

We are looking for a Senior Multimedia Specialist at Lawson Products who will be responsible for creating and managing multimedia content across various platforms. This role requires a highly creative and technically skilled individual who can produce high-quality video, VR, AR, animation, motion graphics, and audio content that aligns with Lawson Products' brand and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of multimedia production techniques and be able to collaborate with various teams to develop engaging content that resonates with our audience.

Our corporate headquarters is in Chicago, IL. This role operates on a hybrid work model; employees spend two days working in the office and three days working remotely. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, edit, and produce video content for various platforms, including promotional videos, tutorials, product demos, and internal communications.

• Design and develop immersive VR and AR experiences to enhance product demonstrations, training modules, and marketing campaigns.

• Create dynamic animations and motion graphics to support marketing campaigns, explainer videos, and social media content.

• Record, edit, and mix audio for multimedia projects, including voiceovers, sound effects, and music tracks.

• Ensure multimedia projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Contribute to the development of multimedia content strategies that align with Lawson Products' brand messaging and marketing goals.

• Maintain and operate multimedia equipment, software, and tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning optimally.

• Ensure all multimedia content adheres to Lawson Products' brand guidelines and visual style.

Other Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Film Production, Animation, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in multimedia production, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in video, VR, AR, animation, motion graphics, and audio. B2B, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative multimedia solutions that engage audiences and convey complex information effectively

• Strong attention to detail, ensuring all multimedia content is polished, professional, and error-free

• Proficient in multimedia production software, including Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Aero), 3D modeling/animation software, and audio editing tools

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders

• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in multimedia production

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

• A team player who can work effectively in a collaborative environment, contributing to the overall success of the marketing team and organization at large

• Hungry to continually learn and improve your craft.

• Proficiency in juggling multiple, concurrent projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Understanding that the input of the team is critical while guiding everyone to be better at what they do and how they perform - we are better together

• Experience in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience in the distribution and/or manufacturing industries is a plus

• Portfolio of previous work
