BioFire Diagnostics, LLC. is looking for a Multimedia Specialist to join our growing Marketing Communications team! The ideal candidate will have a strong design aesthetic and experience creating visually, presentations, videos, and promotional materials. Projects will include: PowerPoint presentations, videos, podcasts, and other forms of multimedia communication. The multimedia specialist will assist with collateral development from conceptualization, design and distribution while upholding visual integrity and strict brand identity standards across all marketing materials in an exacting and time-sensitive environment.


Principal Job Duties and

Responsibilities:
  • Professionally format and design PowerPoint presentations

  • Assists with the design of multimedia pieces including online, social, audio, and video

  • Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all departments, promotional materials, and events

  • Create motion graphics, correct and grade color, edit and export audio and video

  • Maintains internal corporate communication screens

  • Maintains digital and physical asset library

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies

  • Follow corporate brand guidelines and parameters

Qualifications

Training and Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

  • Working experience in Adobe Creative Suite

  • 1-3 years in professional commercial design, preferably in a corporate or agency setting

  • 1-3 years video production experience

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Aptitude for making quick, quality decisions

  • Expert skills with PowerPoint and Keynote

  • Experience with Final Cut Pro Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere

  • Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign a big plus

  • Knowledge of website design platforms, html, and CSS

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to comfortably manage and maneuver all equipment including lifting, moving, and transporting of heavy materials (50-75lbs) of set, video, photo, and prop materials.

Responsibilities The work involves designing all aspects of the New Era and Friend magazines and will require regular interaction with editors, department executives, and General Authorities. The successful candidate will prepare formats, designs, and illustrations for printed and digital materials and will orchestrate various graphic skills such as typography, pacing, design ideation, and color palette to give satisfactory form to a youth and children's magazine. In addition to meeting the needs of each issue in production, the designer will need to maintain a consistent, high-quality design for the New Era and Friend magazines to appropriately represent the Church. Must be capable and experienced and able to work under minimal supervision. May also be required to take on temporary management responsibilities as needed. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field and 7 years of professional experience or equivalent education and experience. * Must have experience collaborating with a team of designers, writers, and editors. * Experience in communicating with youth and children through illustration, photography, design, and use of color. * Must understand the needs of a global audience and how to reach them visually. * Critical visual sense and problem-solving ability are a must. * Practical understanding of mobile, web, and social communications are needed. * Preferably has supervisory or project-lead experience and has been a key contributor in past positions.
