About KCRG:

KCRG TV9 is the ABC affiliate in Cedar Rapids and is owned by Gray Television, Inc. KCRG's crew of dedicated reporters and staff serves the Eastern Iowa region. The station is a longtime leader in local news and programming in the region. KCRG 9.2 bring local live events to Eastern Iowa, including high school and college sports, show choirs, parades, professional baseball, hockey and soccer, and much more. KCRG is also part of Gray Digital Media (GDM), which offers high quality and targeted digital services, both locally and in all 50 states.

Job Summary/Description:

KCRG and KYOU are seeking a dynamic team oriented, innovative, motivated Multimedia Sales Manager with excellent professional leadership skills, trainer/coaching ability, a good communicator and listener, creative ability with digital and broadcast skills to grow our digital efforts. The Multimedia Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team, monitoring digital station accounts, a key resource before and after the sale, ability to build strong client relationships through exceptional campaign management, optimization, performance, and client satisfaction.

This position works in tandem with the Director of Sales on business development for the station, specifically championing digital sales. The successful candidate will work closely with local businesses, our Media Executives, and is a key team player. The Multimedia Sales Manager should have the ability to provide unique marketing solutions, innovative revenue ideas and will be responsible for achieving the station's digital advertising budget.

The successful individual must be proficient with current digital marketing trends, products, and solutions. The successful candidate will serve as the digital coach and advisor to the local sales team and advertisers.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Driving digital revenue growth and ensuring all digital budgets and goals are met or exceeded with a focus on new local direct business

  • Providing digital training and support to the sales team

  • Broadcast understanding preferred

  • Build and implement digital strategies that achieve client goals

  • Assisting Media Executives in presenting, closing digital business along with serving alongside the sales team after the sale

  • Developing sales presentations and collateral using up-to-date research materials

  • Maintaining campaign tracking, delivery, and reporting to ensure campaign success

  • Overseeing digital pricing and revenue forecasting

  • Promoting a winning, positive culture, a positive team player is a must

  • Ability to work in a collaborative space as a partner/consultant and be seen in the industry as an expert in digital advertising with Media Executives and advertisers

  • Working in tandem with the Director of Sales on revenue generation strategy and forecasting

  • Oversight of all digital sales products, creative, inventory management and pricing strategies

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills, highly organized, empathetic, problem solver and able to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently and effectively

  • Comfortable holding team members accountable to their budgets and goals while helping them achieve success and grow

  • Ability to translate and communicate problems into opportunities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, manage time wisely, and prioritize projects and people

  • Strong computer skills, presentation experience, proficiency in Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) social media, targeted email, Streaming TV, Streaming audio, targeting knowledge

  • The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two years of digital sales experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing/advertising/digital advertising or similar field is preferred but not required

  • All candidates must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
