The Multimedia Production Specialist will work with the External Relations Web Team and other External Relations staff to both create new and modify existing content for the Krannert School of Management, ensuring that the material integrates with Purdue/Krannert marketing and branding efforts. Transport, set up, and operation of cameras, microphones, lights, and related equipment in the production, post-production and streaming of multimedia content. Work with faculty, staff, and students to come up with and execute project concepts. Stay up to date with current trends and techniques. Work includes occasional but infrequent travel, night, and weekend assignments.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Graphics Technology, Visual Communication, Video and Film or related field.
Two years of experience shooting, editing, and streaming video for delivery over the Web.
Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of required education and related work experience.
Knowledge of editing software (such as Adobe Premiere).
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
High degree of creativity and imagination along with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of Web and multimedia processes.
Knowledge of closed captioning processes.
Experience creating animations and graphics for multimedia projects as well as experience setting up cameras, microphones, lights and sets.
Ability to multi-task deadlines with minimal supervision.
Experience with Adobe products including Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Experience coaching on-screen talent.
Experience with still photography.
