HuffPost is a Pulitzer Prize-winning source of breaking news, video, features, and entertainment, as well as a highly engaged global community for opinion and conversation. The site launched its first international edition in May 2011.
HuffPost is looking for a Multimedia Producer to join the Visuals Team. We're looking for a creative visionary who can elevate our visual storytelling.
Candidates will be responsible for creating captivating illustrations for everything from daily stories to long-form investigations. They will display a passion for identifying, pitching, and creating arresting visuals that enrich our stories.
The ideal candidate:
Has experience working as a freelance illustrator or in an editorial art department.
Has an interest in politics and culture, and is well-versed in the current events.
Must be able to produce illustrations in different styles when necessary.
Has an awareness of the HuffPost brand and voice.
Must be able to think quickly on one's feet to conceptualize and execute a visual solution.
Can pitch external artists for commissions; take ownership and art direct when necessary.
3-5 years of professional design experience
Portfolio of work
Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
After Effects knowledge, a plus.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with fast turn-around time.
