The Multimedia Graphic Designer for City Club Apartments understands that the word brand can be communicated in a variety of ways and means, although this role has a special knack for using imagery and words through sales and marketing collateral materials, digital and social media as the conduit to reflect our companys brand positioning. CCA is seeking a stellar junior to mid-level designer with a portfolio of work in both print and digital mediums to join our in-house communications team. Create on-brand, engaging visual assets across all channels and ensure all sales and marketing materials meet brand guidelines. This position will report to the Senior Creative Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receptive to creative feedback from CEO, Design, Marketing, Operations and Client Services to updates needed for company sales and marketing collateral; must be comfortable with Piet Mondrian theory and design; and will not allow ego to get in the way of the greater good;
Crafts content (images, words, headlines) for advertising materials in partnership with stakeholders to ensure we execute on brand and vocabulary standards; the role will dip their toes into print advertising to ensure digital doesnt receive all the bragging rights;
Strong understanding of brand identity and creating multi-channel content with cohesive brand voice. Conceptual thinking and creative problem solving; can take a project from ideation to completion including preparing files for print;
Always maintain high standards and detailed executions. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Work within schedules and budgets while able to manage own workflow from concept to execution;
Oversees and manages the companys internal ticketing system for collateral fulfillment; is highly organized and can prioritize ticket requests to decipher the low-hanging fruit over large, complex fulfillment requests; Maintain digital assets, including image libraries and videos;
Demonstrates a keen sense of organizational skills to project-manage orders, tracking, timelines, fulfillment, on time delivery and on budget; of course, do make recommendations that will enhance an idea or request;
Demonstrates a service mind-set by monitoring and providing status updates to Client Services against the proposed plans including budgets, timeline, quality criteria and potential risks; can bend with the wind when priorities or creative direction changes; and
Jumps in when and where necessary to assist the team creatively, takes the initiative to make a recommendation, helps teammates, and continually looks for a better way of doing things.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Bachelors degree in in Graphic Design or related field preferred; must have a portfolio website;
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in graphic design;
Demonstrated knowledge of Social Media, basic knowledge of HTML coding and current digital trends.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and MS Office;
Ability to prepare files for pre-press and production; know how to link and package files for release to vendor FTPs and ad servers;
Demonstrated practices of organizational skills with competing priorities; and
Adaptable and flexible personality trait when priorities or creative direction changes.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS PREFERRED
Work experience within an agency environment;
Fundamental understanding of Copywriting;
Astute customer service orientation and high interpersonal skills;
Can employ creative thinking to design new creative elements, and adjust existing creative for re-application; and
Photography, Animation. After Effects experience a plus.
