6 MONTH INTERNSHIP. AVAILABILITY FROM JUNE THROUGH DECEMBER IS REQUIRED.

Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is the creative force that invents, designs, and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, and cruise ships worldwide. What you will do

WDI is the master planning and creative development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its dedicated corps of Imagineers is responsible for crafting - from concept initiation through installation - all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects! We are seeking a Communications Intern to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment to be able to develop communication plans and create engaging content for our international Imagineering initiatives. How will you contribute to the innovative blend of communication strategies and content development for our global Imagineering projects? As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to:

• Craft information-rich presentations and writing functions, including message points, social media posts, and internal communications.

• Maintain the communications library, including assets, fact sheets, project summaries, and message points.

• Support the team during events and media experiences, including spokesperson assistance.

• Help lead project management for attractions, resort hotels, and global projects.

• Assist with content-capture opportunities involving photography and video.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven graphic design experience in developing presentation materials applying Keynote and PowerPoint.

• Experience with infographics and communicating complicated information in an easy-to-understand visual format.

• Videography, photography, and media shoot experience.

• Video-editing experience.

• Previous reporting/writing/editing in print, television, or online media.

• Proficient with AP writing style, blogging, and social media platforms.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in media relations or with a PR Agency (or related).

• Previous experience working as a Disney cast member.

• Experience with social media in a professional or academic setting.

Education

Currently enrolled as a junior or higher pursuing (or recently graduated with) a degree in Communication/Marketing Communication/Visual Communication or a related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within six months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program (DCP) or Disney Internship.

• Be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.

• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or DCP.

Additional Information

• The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2024 through January 2025.

• Interns will work 40 hours per week (onsite in Orlando, FL) and must be fully available throughout the internship.
