We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multimedia 3D Designer to support our Publications Department. Under minimal supervision, this multimedia role will be responsible for creating 3D models, texturing, CAD conversions, simulations, and animations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs multimedia based layouts, graphics, animation, video, sound and/or content.

  • Creates 3D model concepts; scene building, camera work, creates textures, animations and

  • Leads project teams on assigned multimedia projects, which may include, but not limited to, storyboard development and asset creation.

  • Represents the group, with internal and external customers and vendors, as a primary representative to ascertain project requirements and specifications and ensure schedule, cost, and quality requirements are met.

  • Provides guidance to less experienced staff.

  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Utilizes MS Office Suite, SAP, Maya and other applications.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a two-year degree in a related discipline or trade school equivalent and twelve or more years of experience in a related field.

  • Equivalent related work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Multi-Media is desired.

  • Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of multimedia practices and concepts though portfolio and samples of previous 3D Modeling Projects.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects.

  • Video and Camera experience is desired .

  • Must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to grasp new concepts quickly; (2) the ability to identify issues and recognize deviations from accepted practices and processes and resolve unusually complex issues; (3) strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document and report; (4) working knowledge of computer operations and applications.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours as required.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

  • US Citizenship required.

The Seismic Customer Education team is hiring a Multimedia Instructional Designer with graphic design and training experience. This person will work with our customer education team to create high quality and engaging training content following a formal instructional design process. The Multimedia Instructional Designer will use both solid instructional and visual design and written communication skills to bring together text, illustrations, video, animation, and audio to effectively serve clients' training needs. These materials are delivered across multiple instructional delivery modalities creating high quality, scalable learning experiences enabling long term customer success. Your Mission * Collaborate on the design and development of training content, video production and animation with input from subject matter experts (SMEs), to produce sound instructional materials in accordance with program objectives and solid instructional principles. * Responsible for creating eLearning content that is instructionally sound and engaging with the ability to translate technical material into concise eLearning modules for non-technical users. * Develop and publish eLearning modules to a Learning Management System (LMS) or Learning Experience Platform. * Create and edit video, audio, and animations for use in all learning formats. * Keep abreast of continually new and/or enhanced product features and functionality and incorporate into training design and development. * Create and refine educational content and presentations based on varying audience's needs. Your Competencies * A Degree or higher in Instructional Design, Learning, Technology & Training * 3+ years of instructional design and development experience in web-based (e-learning), self-study and instruction led training programs, with a strong focus on software or technical training preferred * Knowledge of relevant course delivery platforms with strong proficiency in Learning Management Systems, Articulate Storyline, Adobe eLearning Suite, TechSmith Camtasia, or other similar eLearning tools as well as experience in graphic design, including the use of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. * Must be highly organized, flexible and must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding, deadline-oriented environment, while managing competing demands simultaneously * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact frequently with developers, product managers, customer success, marketing personnel, and management for the purpose of gaining and clarifying technical knowledge of our products. * Self-motivated, innovative, and able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner * Solid analytical and technical skills * Excellent verbal and written skills Seismic San Diego CA
