We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Multimedia 3D Designer to support our Publications Department. Under minimal supervision, this multimedia role will be responsible for creating 3D models, texturing, CAD conversions, simulations, and animations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs multimedia based layouts, graphics, animation, video, sound and/or content.
Creates 3D model concepts; scene building, camera work, creates textures, animations and
Leads project teams on assigned multimedia projects, which may include, but not limited to, storyboard development and asset creation.
Represents the group, with internal and external customers and vendors, as a primary representative to ascertain project requirements and specifications and ensure schedule, cost, and quality requirements are met.
Provides guidance to less experienced staff.
Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Utilizes MS Office Suite, SAP, Maya and other applications.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Typically requires a two-year degree in a related discipline or trade school equivalent and twelve or more years of experience in a related field.
Equivalent related work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Bachelor's Degree in Multi-Media is desired.
Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of multimedia practices and concepts though portfolio and samples of previous 3D Modeling Projects.
Advanced working knowledge of Maya, Adobe Photoshop, and After Effects.
Video and Camera experience is desired .
Must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to grasp new concepts quickly; (2) the ability to identify issues and recognize deviations from accepted practices and processes and resolve unusually complex issues; (3) strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document and report; (4) working knowledge of computer operations and applications.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
