Job Summary
The Multifamily Development Analyst performs complex investment due diligence and analysis work. Work involves assisting the Multifamily development team with potential site analysis, vertical underwriting of investment, comp research, and extensive due diligence from beginning of project to starting construction. This position will report directly to the Principals of the Multifamily division and work closely with all members of Endeavor's Multifamily team.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Perform financial analysis of multifamily developments with various other real estate investment components (ground floor retail, mixed use, office) and other various opportunities
Support in the due diligence or transaction process (purchases, sales, construction loan closings, etc.)
Assist in the debt and equity raising process (put together packages, manage lender/investor correspondence, etc.)
Value existing real estate assets based on analyzing historical operating and financial performance
Prepare presentation materials for investment committee, investor presentations, or other meetings
Analyze financial information from various sources to forecast business, industry and economic conditions
Gather, compile, investigate, and analyze market data to identify potential investment opportunities
Assist with preparation of project approval materials for management
Update various asset management schedules, portfolio-level reports, and other investor or corporate reports
Qualifications
Financial Skills
Understand mathematical concepts including net present value (NPV), levered and unlevered internal rate of return (IRR), cash on cash return, yield on cost (YOC), and all basic concepts associated with real estate finance
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Extensive experience in financial modeling in Excel and the review of financial statements in relation to multifamily operations

Education/Experience
BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics or related field
At least 1 Year of Multifamily underwriting experience on development or principal side required.
