Qualifications:

Must have 2-3 years of successful electrical troubleshooting and repair experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment) and be able to operate small machinery (lathe, drill press, welding equipment)

At least one full year of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.

Committed to tasks: Able to commence and continue specific courses of action with urgency.

Maintain positive relationships with plant management, supervisors, office and operational employees.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 pounds multiple times throughout the day.

Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts.

Maintenance Training is provided and required.

History of excellent attendnace.

Education:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.

Preferred associates degree in electrical field but not required.

Preference will be given to applicatants with PLC 5000 knowledge, training and education

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining the branch facility and service machinery in order to ensure safe, quality and smooth operation at the branch. Ensures that the plant is open and ready and starts up all necessary equipment. Observe, test, and repair equipment and facilities as needed. Assists other areas of the branch as requested and needed. Overall Duties: Arrives early to open plant facilities and begin daily operations. Power up equipment for daily usage Performs routine preventive maintenance as directed to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Follows the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule for key production equipment. Responsible for completing all general and basic repairs on the machinery. Identify and report all other major repairs that need to be completed on the machinery. Assists in other production departments as needed.
