Multi-Unit Manager (College Of Liberal Arts & Sciences)

The Multi-Unit Manager (MUM) manages all aspects of the daily operations of multiple units of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), including supervision of a team of 4-6 staff members.

Work at this level requires comprehensive knowledge of programs and operations, and the ability to interpret and explain laws, rules, policies, and procedures. This position requires the ability to successfully manage individuals and teams that are supporting multiple units in the college in multiple areas in the college.

In addition, the MUM will perform administrative research, analysis, and evaluation supporting the units' services and operations. This position requires the ability to work independently, demonstrate sound judgment and exercise creative problem solving skills while managing direct administrative support to multiple units in the college.

They will interact regularly with CLAS leadership, administrative colleagues, faculty, other MUMs and students. The MUM researches and interprets information and responds to inquiries providing advice and direction. This position will require the ability to come in and access the needs of multiple departments depending on the complexities of the units.
