Teacher must be able to establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedure. Be able to accept observation and evaluation from administrator for feedback and professional growth as well as understand and evaluate students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health using written data to drive progress.
Teacher must be able to participate in behavior management programs that facilitate positive behavior management.
Teacher must be able to prepare lessons, materials and classrooms for class activities and use formative and summative assessment practices to successfully move students forward.
Teacher must be able to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests and be able to instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
Teacher must be able to assign and grade class work and homework and be able to prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments in order to evaluate students' progress.
Teacher must be able to confer with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators in order to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems in a friendly and professional manner that shows a caring partnership in the child's education.
Basic Requirement:
Certificate of Clearance: To be applicable, candidate must be fully engaged in a credentialing program if not fully certified and must meet regularly with principal or leading credentialing coach to remain employed.
