Multi-Site HR Business Partner [Hybrid]

We are searching for a forward-thinking HR professional to join our inTEST family as a Multi-Site HR Business Partner headquartered at our Rochester, NY, facility and reporting to our Divisional President. This critical role supports the Process Technologies division housing both Ambrell and Videology.

Job Summary:

You as the HR Business Partner (HRBP) position are responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The Multi-Site HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position may have direct supervisory responsibilities yet also will serve as a coach and mentor for other positions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides performance management guidance to line management (e.g., succession planning, coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Responsible for the management of the divisions performance management program.

  • Leads efforts to fill open global positions within the division.

  • Processes payroll utilizing Paylocity - must be willing and capable of learning program if not already at a proficient user.

  • Supports employees with the use of HR IS systems for performance management, payroll, and benefits.

  • Serves as a co-sponsor of the site safety team within the division ensuring all safety requirements are met and a culture of continuous improvement is encouraged Collects and publishes safety metrics on a regular basis, including OSHA requirements.

  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the functional HR team to support the development of solutions, programs, and policies.

  • Serves as a key stakeholder on the division and business unit leadership teams.

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance in all locals in which the division operates

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.

  • Assists international employees with HR matters.

  • Provides guidance and input regarding business unit restructuring, capability, and workforce planning along with succession planning. Maintains organizational charts and succession planning documents for the division.

  • Along with line management helps to identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.

  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success along with follow up ensuring training objectives are met.

  • Takes an active role in due diligence efforts for potential M&A activities

  • Builds and maintains personnel files for all employees.

  • Works with Corporate HR team on implementation of employee benefit programs including health, retirement, disability, and employe assistance.

  • This is a hybrid role with four days expected to be onsite.

  • Regularly visits all the major employee facilities within the division.

  • Participate and provide required reports for SOX, ISO, workers comp and 401K audits

  • Responsible for responding to and maintaining all unemployment claims

  • Responsible for filing state labor related documents

  • Update and maintain job descriptions and load into Paylocity

  • Administer employee satisfaction surveys

  • Administer the company 401K and employee stock purchase plan

  • Manage employee benefit programs including approving invoices

  • File corporate reports in a timely manner

  • Plan and execute employee events to promote company culture including Above and Beyond Awards

  • Managing onboarding and offboarding

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strategic mindset with a generalist background

  • Strong business etiquette regarding verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and behavior

  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Expert-level organizational and time-management skills with proven track record to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to interpret, apply and explain the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

  • Priority to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with Paylocity preferred but not required.

  • Ability to travel to company's facilities and due diligence targets - up to 15% travel including international

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience performing at this level within HR including the ability to resolve complex employee relations issues.

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations and union-avoidance strategies, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred.

Role can be hybrid once onboarding is completely satisfied.
