Job Description:

Manages more than one functional area of manufacturing. Will provide guidance and leadership to ensure the steps to accountability which will be recognized in all cost, schedule, quality and safety commitments.

Will maintain and manage cost / performance metrics. Assist in the coordination of employee recruitment, selection, training process, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Ensure that optimum, lean processes are being utilized.

Provide task direction to subordinates in the department. Frequent contacts with internal personnel and outside customers and industry peers at various management levels. Determine and implement problem solutions which impact production.

Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives. Often leads skilled experienced and senior level professional staff units.

Basic Qualifications

Five years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations. Prior leadership experience in represented work environment.

Through knowledge of manufacturing processes and familiarity with general Aerospace requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Exceptional people skills.

VIEW JOBS 1/25/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-24T00:00 Job Description: The American Red Cross in Johnstown, PA is looking for a dedicated, team-player to join our organization as a full-time Manufacturing Technician in our Hospital Services department. In this role you will be responsible for shipping/receiving & storage of blood and blood products. Prior experience in a shipping/receiving role desired. Professional communication skills & an outstanding attendance record required. Key responsibilities include: * Manufacture, store and distribute blood products/samples. * Maintain manual and computer records associated with production or testing. * Comply with safety policies and procedures in the work area and use applicable protective equipment at all times to prevent exposure to potentially infectious blood and body fluids. * Comply with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) where required. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Qualifications include: * High school diploma or equivalent and related experience required. * 2 years related experience (physically demanding position, highly regulated). Track record of outstanding attendance. * Training will occur primarily Monday-Friday 1st shift, regular schedule will be highly variable (mostly evenings/overnights/weekends). Schedules issued 1 month in advance but not finalized until prior week. Additional flexibility REQUIRED for overtime, flex schedule and/or holidays based on department needs. Essential Requirements include: Requires standing, stretching, stooping and bending for extended time periods. Lift, pull, push and move objects of up to 50 pounds. May work in walk-in refrigerator/freezers for periods of time. Work under pressure and within time standards. Required to wear protective clothing such as lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc. when there is exposure to blood and blood products and/or where work location requires. Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment. Ability to use a personal computer and applicable software for sustained periods of time. Apply now!
