The Multi-Cloud GTM Associate sits in corporate marketing as part of the newly formed Multi-Cloud Franchise Marketing Team. This person will play a key role working alongside the solutions marketing, product marketing, sales and marketing operations teams to gather, develop and share GTM (Go-to-Market) insights, analytics and trends to support marketing awareness and demand across the VMware Cloud portfolio. This person will also serve as the primary GTM interface for reporting on all marketing KPIs related to the overall health of multi-cloud marketing on global and regional levels.
In this role, this person will drive efforts related to go-to-market programs & must deliver on key projects and analysis to help optimize our GTM efforts for Multi-Cloud. This role requires balancing and influencing multiple competing priorities and individuals. The individual must work cross-functionally with senior leadership across Field Sales + Marketing, Sales Ops, Corp and Franchise Marketing, Product Marketing, Finance, and others.
To succeed on this team, you must be able to develop and communicate actionable insights while simultaneously supporting a distributed set of team members around the globe to drive optimizations and action. Additionally, this role must demonstrate confidence and authority while dealing with conflicting priorities, urgent timelines and the ability to do so in a collaborative and effective manner.
Support and contribute to our overall marketing analytics strategy for the go-to-market organization with the primary focus of optimizing marketing's impact by analyzing trends and formulating insights which can be used to optimize programs and related ROI.
On-going reporting around KPIs and ROI for an extended set of marketing, sales and business stakeholders on a tight cadence including: ongoing marketing health and funnel reporting, monthly business reviews and quarterly business reviews
Drive a data-driven mindset throughout the go-to-market organization and manage report and dashboard development
Collaborate with our various Ops and data teams to provide insight and assist with segmentation and database/audience health for Multi-Cloud
Support management in strategic GTM planning
Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and represent the Multi-Cloud franchise KPIs and measures.
Help collect & analyze data, information, and research (e.g., market data, competitive analysis, etc.) through quantitative and qualitative mechanisms to make decisions on critical strategic issues
Dual data and marketing guru who can bridge the gap between ops/technology teams and the rest of the marketing teams, especially when communicating requirements and determining optimal solutions
Craft presentations for all audiences (individual contributors, line managers, and top executives)
2-3+ years in demand marketing/marketing operations or similar role.
A track record of driving cross-functional reporting
Basic knowledge of persona-based marketing, audience and buyer's journeys, segmentation strategies, and demand generation
Familiarity with reverse funnel models to hit pipeline targets
Regular reporting on and analysis of the health of the marketing funnel (top-of-funnel response metrics through closed deal) and for marketing-influenced business KPIs
Ability to turn data into marketing intelligence, and drive insights from past performance that lead to revenue-generating outcomes.
A self-starter who sets and keeps the pace for a global, extended team
Strong project & organization management skills with the ability to optimally structure and prioritize work
A clear, comfortable and persuasive presentation style for both formal and informal settings; with supporting presentation materials
Detail-oriented and can always see the big picture. You have no trouble turning a multi-dimensional program tracker into an executive or top-line summary.
