Mtss Coach - Zoneton Middle School 2024-2025

Zoneton Middle School is looking for an MTSS Coach for the 2024-25 school year. We are looking for a high-quality candidate that can coordinate our intervention programs and increase student learning. Position responsibilities and qualifications are listed below.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Kentucky teaching certificate, preferred enrollment in Principal leadership or hold an Instructional Leadership certificate.

2.Experience and such alternatives to the above qualifications as deemed appropriate and acceptable by the Kentucky Professional Standards Board.

3.Teacher Leadership experience with building culture and climate.

4.Experience in providing data-based interventions for tier 2 and tier 3.

5.Minimum teaching experience of five years.

• Position has a total of 5 Extended Days

REPORTS TO: Principal or building level administrator

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with all stakeholders, including school leadership, to develop, implement, and sustain schoolwide MTSS framework.

• Work with individual students and small groups of students on targeted interventions

• Monitor and analyze multiple data sources (Academic and Behavior Data, Persistence to Graduation report (PtG), Surveys, etc.) to develop and make data-driven decisions.

• Collaborate and support the school MTSS/PBIS team to implement with fidelity.

• Assist in the improvement of teacher quality and effectiveness in instructional practices via various walkthroughs. Examples include, but are not limited to, engagement, positive-to-negative interactions, and opportunities to respond.

• Support, consult and collaborate with teachers in identifying successful strategies for students with targeted, evidence-based interventions through an effective Tier 2 and Tier 3 MTSS system.

• Train and provide ongoing coaching of school leadership teams and teachers on the MTSS/PBIS framework.

• Work with YSC Coordinator, SRO, et al. to build a community of stakeholders that are all involved in Tier 2 and 3 interventions that meet the needs of the students, including trauma-informed practices.

• Assists staff in continuous development and training in PBIS and effective classroom instructional strategies.

• Develops and maintains a positive rapport with students, staff and the community.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent.

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Salary based on board approved salary schedule for the 2024-2025 school year.
