Walter's Walk is committed to providing awareness in the community for integrated mental health services to all who are in need, regardless of their ability to pay. Walter's Walk also provides services to all First Responders and their families.

This part of society is often ignored because of their special needs. Clinicians are specially trained in trauma and understand the special needs of First Responders and their families. Walter's Walk's founder & executive director saw persons drop out of counseling when clients were faced with loss of jobs/insurances and having financial struggles. To date, 1228 clients have been received services, 11,979 hours have been given to these clients- equivalent to $1,197,900.00 if billed.

Responsibilities and Qualifications Prep charts, room patients/vitals/med reconsiliation. , pt call backs/results, order entry, refill medications, assist with incoming calls as needed. Clean exam rooms and request supplies as needed. Placehololter monitors/event recorders. Perform EKG's. 0-5 years experience. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Escorts patients to exam rooms, taking vital signs and histories as directed and accurately documenting in Epic.Assists physician/nurse with medical procedures as directed.Performs patient testing, administers medication as directed.Maintains examination rooms and instruments appropriately.Maintains labs/specimens appropriately.Ensures appropriate communication, including scheduling, refilling prescriptions and processing messages. Calls patients with lab, test results. Phone triage.Scans medical records and test results accurately into Epic in a timely manner.Proficient in electronic media record use (Epicare, Calence, Prelude).Other duties as assigned. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred and/or at least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant Medical Assistant III * High school diploma or equivalent.
