Job Description for this Role:
Understanding and Overview of MS SQL Environments and landscape
Understanding different categories of MS SQL related tickets raised so far and how resolutions were done
Providing Shadow support for MS SQL related tickets
Work on the MS-SQL specific Tickets assigned for both Production and non-Production environment
Provide support during US Business hours and remain standby for On-call support or any emergency Resolutions
Administer MS SQL DBMS Environment/instances in AWS (EC2)
Setup/configure resources like CPU, Memory, Connections in multi-region MS-SQL servers in AWS.
Perform Database Space/Storage Management setting storage allocation and usage, storage type etc.
Regular monitoring of DB Server and database performance
Take database backups and restore them on Replicated database server instance or from one environment/database to another
Database User Management and Provisioning for different Prod and Non-prod databases and respective users
Perform Database Object Performance/ Monitor/Tuning for stored procedures, views, queries etc. if they are running slowly
System Performance Tuning
Installing/Managing DB server updates and patching
Work with security team to apply related security group policies on DB server
Support Development teams for analyzing/tracking application specific database issues.

Job Responsibilities The faculty member will teach in the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Economics, the Masters of Science in Applied Economics and the Masters of Science in International and Development Economics programs. The faculty member will also serve as the Program Director, developing, promoting the new M.S. Applied Economics program and its curriculum. This program will focus on the emerging economics of digitization and the ways in which public and private organizations can use information technologies and new sources of data to change the way they operate. The standard teaching load for a tenure-track position at USF is two 4-unit courses per semester with an additional third course every fourth semester (2-2-2-3 over two years). Program Directors receive some course release time for their administrative duties. Additionally, all faculty are expected to engage in service to their department, college, and university, as well as maintain an active research program that engages both undergraduate and graduate students when possible.
