The M&S Operations Lead, Pacific works onsite Tactical Training Group-Pacific (TTGP) supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center- Corona (NSWC-Corona) in providing Navy training throughout PACFLT Areas of Responsibility (AORs). The Ops Lead assists with the planning, design, and execution of Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) events for ships pierside, and Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training events for ships at sea. The Ops Lead also supports distributed training events at TTGP- Detachment Yokosuka, Japan (TTGPDY), Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific-Pacific (EWTGP), and Afloat Training Group (ATG) Battle Labs (San Diego, Middle Pacific, Pacific Northwest).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serve as NSWC-Corona's NCTE FST technical and operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of FST training events. Keep leadership informed of any issues and new requirements.
Work with Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) local and remote operators and engineers, and TTGP training teams to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events. Adjust daily working hours occasionally to match times zones around the world where events are occurring. Occasional travel is required in support of event planning conferences.
Monitor event operations for compliance within NCTE Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Recommend changes to SOPs as needed and help to develop new SOPs as fleet training requirements expand.
Use Confluence and JIRA tools on the NCTE website to share event schedules and documents. Identify, document, report, and track issues, while keeping appropriate NCTE personnel, NSWC- Corona, TTGP leadership, and other stakeholders informed of status.
Oversee the welfare of twenty other ALION employees at TTGP.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required (preferably in engineering or a related discipline) plus 8 or more years relevant work experience. Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 10 years of applicable work experience; work experience exceeding 12 years highly desired. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data

Construct of Operational and Tactical Levels of Warfare events
Conducting Fleet, Joint, or COCOM-level exercises
Tactical Training Range operations and management
Tactical Data Link operations
Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and operations
Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulation or other HLA/DIS modeling tools
Shipboard combat and training systems
Well-developed personal and written communication skills
Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools
Security: Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to a US Top Secret clearance if required.
