Responsibilities

As the MRO Specialist you will be able contribute by controlling and ensuring the planning process for Material Replenishment Planning (MRP), as well as managing the obsolete inventories and solving problems related to the MRO process, all these to guarantee and increase the reliability, accuracy and good condition of the MRO inventories of the assigned sites, complying with the established policies and procedures.

  • Analyze planned orders for stock requirements to obtain optimum warehouse stock levels through knowledge of material consumption, supplier stocked material, lead times and criticality of material. (Maintain an adequate stock to avoid high inventory costs and process stoppages due to non-existence of material).

  • Coordinate the repair and/or purchase of items classified as stores repairable and capital spares with plant personnel, suppliers and purchasing. (Cost reduction by avoiding the purchase of new materials).

  • Responsible for conducting the monthly Stock Control Meeting with Plant Management for the review of new stock requests, changes and deletions ensuring the completion of all approved requests and, to present and review plant relevant data, including but not limited to, obsolescence review, inventory value, unresolved issues, etc. (Empower sites to maintain healthy inventories, reduce obsolete inventories, and resolve major issues).

  • Coordinate with suppliers and Commodity Managers for the implementation of new contract agreements involving warehouse stock. (Increase supplier efficiency).

  • Identify and execute projects related to process improvement, implementation or inventory optimization

  • Ensure the accuracy of material data through interfacing with plant reliability, procurement operations and warehouse personnel (Increase stock accuracy).

  • Support all day-to-day activities such as materials requested and out of date, changes in reorders points and rounding values, resolve workflows in SAP, changes in purchase requisition, defining new vendors for vendors deleted, updating Material Master, etc. (Keep the process running).

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred but not required (Years of on-the-job experience can be used in place of a degree).

  • 7+ years of experience in warehouse, materials management, work orders and P2P and MRO processes

  • Strong knowledge of SAP

  • Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills in dealing with internal partners and customers (I.E. Sourcing, GBS, Operations).

  • Strong Organizational skills / Analytical skills.

  • Ability to adapt, manage and resolve crisis and emergency situations.

  • Manage multiple assignments and prioritize deliverables accordingly.

  • Detail focused and able to work independently.

  • Intermediate EXCEL and WORD skills.
