Department overview:

The Marketing team is responsible for developing and managing marketing strategy, brand awareness and lead generation activity across all products, regions and functions. This includes the delivery of sales and product support.

Position summary

The Associate Director, Marketing will be responsible developing and executing on marketing plans for the pricing, valuations and reference data businesses within Financial Services. A strong marketing generalist, the individual will contribute to the development, execution and follow up of multi-touch campaigns.

Duties & accountabilities

  • Marketing program development

  • Research and develop marketing campaigns that support the strategic objectives of the business

  • Build relationships and consult with stakeholders across the business to ensure plans are appropriate conceived and targeted

  • Lead generation

  • Segment and target the appropriate audiences in partnership with product, sales and account management

  • Track and report on the performance of all tactics and campaigns using Salesforce dashboards and other metrics and ensure campaigns are optimized and delivering on objectives

  • Content marketing

  • Identify opportunities for strategic content that will deliver on marketing objectives

  • Create, edit and rewrite copy to make it suitable for multiple delivery channels

  • Identify channels and distribution opportunities

  • Manage the development of digital campaign assets using Eloqua, Pardot and other tools

  • Events

  • Create and manage event plans and budgets in support of the overall marketing plan

  • Execute on those plans in partnership with the event management team and other marketing staff

  • Proactively partner with internal cross functional teams and outside vendors including marketing operations, creative services, central events, and social media.

  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms ( and Eloqua preferred)

Knowledge of the financial services industry preferred
7+ years of experience with a BA, BS or equivalent

Outstanding written and spoken English

Primary responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA)'s intercultural and social justice programs and resources, including the Intercultural Resource Center (IRC), Intercultural House (ICH), organization advisement, student and staff trainings, and campus programs. With the Associate Dean of Multicultural Affairs, the AD will oversee programming and student and administrative advisory structures focused on support and resources for students of color. This person provides individual support to students in their personal development. As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Council of Ivy Group Presidents (Ivy League), it is imperative that members of the Columbia University community, in all matters related to the intercollegiate athletics program, exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations. Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Essential Functions RESPONSIBILITIES: * Oversee, manage, facilitate, and assess intercultural and social justice programs in the OMA. Implement programs, including dialogues, trainings, and retreats. * With the Associate Dean of Multicultural Affairs and relevant partners, lead efforts to address issues impacting undergraduate students of color. Oversee the Student of Color Advisory Board (part of the Multicultural Affairs Advisory Council) and develop recommendations on behalf of students. Coordinate and facilitate programming for students of color. * Manage education, support, advocacy, and programming resources of the IRC. Facilitate an open, inclusive environment in the IRC. Provide opportunities for undergrads in the IRC and across campus to engage in relevant dialogues. Assess the scope of outreach, programming, and learning outcomes of the IRC. * Develop, direct, and assess the ICH, a social justice living-learning residential program in the IRC. Provide relevant trainings, workshops, and developmental conversations for the ICH residents. Supervise the student staff who provide leadership and support for the residents in conjunction with Residential Life. * Partner with Residential Life on Special Interest Communities, brownstones oversight, and Resident Adviser selection and training. Responsible for IRC operations, including space usage and liaising with campus partners. Create an atmosphere of mutual respect and responsibility among staff, residents, and visitors. Document student conduct concerns and provide timely follow-up. Oversee decisions about disciplinary violations and keep accurate records of conflicts, student interactions, and disciplinary conferences in accordance with the Clery Act, federal reporting standards. Responsible for knowing and communicating all school-specific and University rules and regulations in relation to residential living. * Provide individual support (including referral) to students in their social, leadership, and identity development. With the Assoc. Dean, provide advocacy and support for students on campus issues and bias incidents. Assist the Assoc. Dean with the development and implementation of campus education projects following campus incidents. * Advise heritage months and cultural organizations; develop strong advisory relationships with advisees. Apply student and leadership development theories to inform advisement practices.
