MRI Technologist

Piper Health and Sciences is actively seeking an MRI Technologist to join a well-established healthcare provider in the Raleigh, NC area. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating scanners, post processing stations & programs, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport and patient monitoring equipment. This is an FTE position with a 3-day, 12-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist:

• Prepare patients for procedures and provide explanation & documentation of procedures

• Review and collect medical history by communicating with patients & reviewing in-patient, ER, and outpatients EMRs

• Administer IV contrast

• Complete MRI scanning with sterile techniques & practice radiation safety for yourself, coworkers, and patients

• Manage radiology computer system including entering orders and charging procedures/supplies

Physical Requirements of the MRI Technologist:

• Ability to perform mid to heavy physical efforts in moving patients, equipment, and supplies

• Walking, standing, and sitting during working operations

• Ability to adhere to radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to radiation

Qualifications of the MRI Technologist:

• 1+ years of experience as a MRI Technologist required

• Degree from two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or enrollment in ARMRIT or ARRT program

• CPR certification required

Compensation of the MRI Technologist:

• $65,000 - 100,000 based on relevant years of experience
