We invite you to come join our RadNet Medical Imaging team as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist. This part time career opportunity has a varied shift schedule and is located at our multi-modality outpatient imaging practice in San Francisco, CA. Our center provides a wide variety of diagnostic imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment.

As a MRI Tech you will:

  • Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.

  • Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.

  • Monitor patient's well being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.

  • Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.

  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

  • Assist radiologists as needed with image guided body and/or breast biopsies, and other procedures.

  • May occasionally travel to our nearby outpatient centers to help with coverage if needed.

  • Participate in projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.

We're looking for experienced and professional candidates who are able to independently perform all outpatient MRI exams and procedures with high quality results. Candidates for RadNet MRI Technologist jobs must have ARRT(R) certification with CA State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (or ARRT in MR or ARMRIT certification if only doing MRI), a CA State Venipuncture permit, BLS or ACLS certification, and great communication skills. At least 1 year of recent MRI work experience is preferred!

Job Summary The MR/Senior Technologist is a CRT/ARRT licensed technologist who maintains an ARRT sponsored MRI certification and has more than five years of MRI experience. This individual must also be certified and demonstrate competency in performing injection procedures necessary for MRI. This technologist must demonstrate the ability to perform MRI exams in both the inpatient and outpatient environment, demonstrate the ability to work safely in an acute care setting, and be able to cooperate accordingly with anesthesia and other patient care departments that interact with the MR environment. Additionally, the MR/Senior Technologist must be willing to train and interact with students and new hires when necessary. This position will be filled by a Senior or Principal MRI Technologist depending on the qualifications of the selected individual. Required Qualifications * Minimum five years experience with high field magnetic resonance system * Graduate of a formal radiology technology training program in an AMA approved school * Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts as well as coverage for weekends and holidays * Flexibility to rotate to other sites when necessary * The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required Preferred Qualifications * Recent work experience in an acute care setting * CRT licensure Licensure/Certification * ARRT * ARRT approved MRI Certification * Active American Heart Association CPR certification Living Pride Standards Service Excellence * Demonstrates service excellence by following the Everyday PRIDE Guide with the UCSF Medical Center standards and expectations for communication and behavior.
