Job Summary

Performs general MRI examinations and Interventional, dual modality or works in a hospital or standing ED. Maintains safety integrity of MRI operational area for all persons including staff and customers. Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.

One year experience in a Rad Tech position to include Radiologic Tech, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography or Ultrasound preferred. Completion of MRI school/MRI certificate program OR Graduate of 24-month program in radiologic technology required in lieu of experience. Six months MR experience or completion of MR didactic program preferred. Must obtain ARRT CT and/or ARRT MR within 2 years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions). CNMT or ARRT or ARDMS or ARMRIT is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification

  • American Heart Association (AHA) RQI

Qualifications:

ALD

  • Associate's Level Degree: Radiologic Technology (Required), CER - Certificate

ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) - Certifications

  • Other/National, Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification

  • American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Certifications

  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) - Certification

  • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - Certifications

  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Basic experience of simple office / operational systems, Management, Radiologic Technologist
