Job Overview As an MRI Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare field by operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic images. Your expertise will aid in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. Duties
Perform MRI scans on patients following proper protocols
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
Maintain and operate MRI equipment efficiently
Collaborate with radiologists to analyze images and provide accurate reports
Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during scans
Keep detailed records of procedures and patient information Experience
Ability to maintain aseptic technique standards during procedures
Proficiency in anatomy and physiology knowledge
Familiarity with sonography, CT scans, and medical imaging techniques
Understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes
Knowledge of medical terminology for effective communication with healthcare professionals
Knowledge of FDA safety standards, cardiac pacemakers, and other contraindicated items upon entering the magnetic field. Qualifications
Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
Certification in MRI Technology
Proficiency in medical imaging and diagnostic evaluation
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Experience with CT, DEXA scan, and Sonography
