What will you be doing?
Obtain quality MRI images of patients
Complies with MRI safety guidelines. Operates MRI equipment safety including screening all patients for contraindications.
Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations
Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner
Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests.
Be able to administer contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient.
Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.
Required: Minimum of one year, as a certified MRI technologist
Preferred: Multiple years as a staff MRI technologist
Required: Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or must be registry eligible and pass the registry and becomes ARRT certified within 1 year (required)
ARRT - MRI Technology (preferred)
American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)
IV certification (required via on-job training)
Current CPR certification (required)
