Job Summary / Job Purpose

MRI Technologist operates a magnetic resonance scanner toobtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment ofpathologies. Obtains patient history and screening forms, explains routineprocedures and addresses patient concerns. Responsible for maintaining patientrecord and files. Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance scanner.

Essential Functions
1.Demonstratesthe knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age ofthe patients served.
2.Performsprocedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist'sexpectations and protocols.
3.Displaysknowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.
4.Supportsand reports any identified compliance matters.
5.Participatesin hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety andsatisfaction.
6.Maintainsprofessional development and education for technical competency.
7.Usesstandard precautions, PPE, at all times.
8.Maintainsregulatory compliance and licensure for current position.
9.Attendsall KYOne Health required educational programs as well as all Learn modules.
10. Contributes to theefficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes our resourcesefficiently.
11. Demonstrates completeworking knowledge of equipment within assigned area.
12. Knowledge andperformance of the Code of Conduct Standards.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

Education /Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred):

  • Graduateof an accredited school of RadiologicTechnology

  • AmericanRegistry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)required

  • Stateof Kentucky License required.

  • BLSCertification required

Experience(required and preferred):

  • .Previous experience in MRI preferred butnot essential for all positions.

VIEW JOBS 10/30/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-28T00:00 1st Shift, Full-Time Oversees the staff and work flow in the CT Department and trouble shoots issues with patients and Radiologists. Performs computed tomography and diagnostic scans designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Responsible for maintaining patient record and files. Performs general CT procedures and assists with CT guided IVR procedures. Essential Functions 1. Oversees administrative functions of staff in department. 2. Supports and assists with training and orientation of new employees. 3. Supports and monitors reports identified as compliance matters. 4. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. 5. Performs procedures to ensure quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols. 6. Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals. 7. Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction. 8. Maintains professional development and education for technical competency. 9. Uses standard precautions, PPE, at all times. 10. Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure for current position. 11. Attends all KYOne Health required educational programs as well as all Learn modules. 12. Contributes to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes our resources efficiently. 13. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area. 14. Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards. Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred): Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT) required. State of Kentucky License required.
