Job Summary: Operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment, computer, and image management systems utilized in performing MRI exams. Collaborates with the radiologist and fellow staff members regarding patient testing. Complies with MRI safe practices at all times. Education

  • Required: High School Diploma/GED and Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited Radiology program Experience

  • Required: Ability to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information relating to patients, families, physicians and nursing personnel. Ability to maintain a high degree of maturity and exercise individual judgment in working with patients, equipment, and personnel that are involved in MRI exams.   • Preferred: Knowledge of Insurance Benefit and Eligibility Websites. Knowledge of Medical Insurance Terminology. Certifications

  • Required: Health Services\BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire and ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) ARDMS or ARRT

  • Radiographer Upon Hire and MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist within 1 Year or ARMRIT

  • Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist within 1 Year
