Job Summary

• Performs MRI examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting the philosophy of Avera St. Luke's, to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care.

• Assist in clinical training of staff technologists and radiology clinical students.

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.

Education and/or Experience

• A technical degree is required.

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent specialty and in good standing with the accrediting board.

• 0-6 months of experience is required.

• 1-2 years of experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist. (ARRT, CNMT) Advanced certification in MRI is required.

• Work Schedule

• Varied shifts; Day/Evening ,72 hours every 2 weeks

• Occasional weekend (Not usually required)

• Occasional holiday (Every 4th)

• Call time (Once a week and every 4th weekend)

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.

• $30.25 - $45.75 per hour
