About the Job

Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Process Manager and Section Head, performs a variety of routine and advanced MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) procedures in the presence of a strong magnetic field while monitoring and maintaining essential patient care and safety.

Flexibility to work overtime/cover other than assigned shifts and other sites as needed. Holiday and on-call rotation mandatory.

  • Utilizes all their technical skills and training to ensure the safe and accurate operation of the MRI scanner including the screening of all patients and visitors

  • Evaluates MRI scans for technical quality under minimal supervision. Perform these duties using independent judgment and initiative

  • Must project an image of professionalism in conduct, appearance, communication and team work. Participates in the continuous quality improvement process of the department.

  • Participates in hospital wide compliance assessments

  • Will be required to take call and rotate to both MRI sites

  • Performs other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of AMA approved Radiology Technology Program.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with (MR) designation.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Candidate must be proficient in Cross Sectional Anatomy, the use of MRI Scanners/power injectors/venipuncture or in the absence of this skill the ability to be trained to a level of competency.

Candidate must be proficient in Magnet safety.

Experience: Two years' experience in a hospital setting. Good working knowledge of PACS or in the absence of this skill the ability to be trained to a level of competency.

VIEW JOBS 12/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-03-09T00:00 Overview Under supervision by design engineering, this position will be responsible for support of engineering operations, product qualification testing, and miscellaneous experimental investigations of RF power amplifiers used in MRI and Industrial/Semiconductor applications. It is a hands-on position that allows exposure to a variety of products, test techniques, design software, equipment and fabrication. It will require interfacing with technicians, engineers, quality, and manufacturing staff to expedite testing and assist in the product development cycle. Some interaction with customers and vendors may be required. Responsibilities * Provide support to design engineering department * Work in R&D lab as needed * Perform design and assembly of test fixtures * Create ECRs/ECOs/helpdesk tickets to change engineering documents (drawings, specifications, etc.) * Perform manual and automated testing of RF power amplifiers * Interface with suppliers to quote and order prototype parts as required * Analyze and post-process test and repair data for possible trends Qualifications * Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. * Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a BS engineering program. * Willing to do hands on work in a lab or shop environment. * Well organized and able to work with minimal supervision. * Basic electrical proficiency (analog and digital circuits). * Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. * Must have proficiency in basic Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Working experience with Oscilloscopes and Network/Spectrum analyzers is a plus * Experience with SolidWorks is a plus. * Experience with LabVIEW and C programming preferred Location This role is located at 8 Centennial Drive, Peabody MA.
