MRI Technologist

• Full Time, Weekends position in the Radiology/Imaging Unit at Lutheran Health Network

• Call, weekend, and holiday rotation required.

• Full Time

• 32 hours per week

• Hours: Friday

• 2:30p-11p, Saturday Sunday 830a-9p

Job Summary:

• Performs complex technical functions to operate MRI equipment to produce the highest quality exams.

• Assures emotional, mental and physical well-being of the patient. Sets up, adjusts, manipulates and controls a variety of magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes.

• Responsible for protecting the magnet from the environment and environment from the magnet.

• Responsible for screening patients, and other customers from entering the magnetic field.

• Responsible for all equipment maintenance, repairs, and quality control measures.

• Will work with Evolve PACS, Star office, and printer systems.

• Will transport patients as needed.

• Must be able to perform exams on all ages (pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric).

Education:

• Successful completion of a radiological diagnostic education from an accredited program.

Registration/Certification:

• Current licensure with registration (or eligible for completion within a year of employment) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• Current Indiana State Board of Health General Certificate for Radiographers. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required within six months of employment
