Shift: PRN, varied hours

As an MRI Tech at North Knoxville Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

• Current BLS from AHA or ARC

• Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.

• Requires registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

About the Job:

• The MR Technologist demonstrates excellent customer service performance. This individual, under indirect supervision, is responsible for performing and assisting with advanced Magnetic Resonance applications for medical cross-sectional imaging for interpretation by a Radiologist.

• Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware. Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.

• Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Understands and practices MRI safety principles to ensure a safe environment for patients, self and others. ARRT registered with the advanced credential in MRI or ARMRIT credential in MRI.
