Position Summary: The MRI Supervisor provides direct supervision and oversight of the operating services and staff for all HHC MRI.

The MRI Supervisor assists the Imaging Department leadership team and provides reports for the Imaging Quality Management Specialist. Responsibilities are to provide technical analysis, education of new staff, and oversight to all MRI departments in the HHC system; deliver quality diagnostic imaging; provide support of procedures performed in the Imaging Services System; assures proper completion of records, and is accountable for sophisticated, expensive equipment. The Supervisor provides quality patient care in a manner consistent with a safe and professional environment with primarily high-risk and critically ill patients of all ages. This position functions in a highly specialized and unique area and must be available to participate in the on-call rotation covering weekends, holidays, and various weekdays.

Education

Training:

Graduate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.

Experience:

Six (6) years as a Registered Radiologic Technologist. Four (4) years performing MRI with a professional understanding in MRI safety, protocols, and equipment performance. # Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:

Current ARRT with advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Current AHA BLS certification. # Knowledge, Skills

Abilities:

Utilizes a variety of standard special imaging equipment, office equipment and supplies. Must be capable of performing all examinations utilizing all MRI equipment. # #
