Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Move Specialist for our Joplin, Missouri factory.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Effectively coordinate and support Move Activities for Joplin Plant

  • Promote process change in Joplin

  • Comply with and support Schaeffler Group USA, Inc., Policies & Procedures, Plant Rules, Guidelines, Environmental Health, and Safety Regulations

  • Lead and support the plant's Move Program

  • Responsible for specific Kaizen Program of SIPro, 5S and Process Optimization

  • Coordinate Move Workshops and Project Management

  • Training Workforce in Move techniques

  • Timely Reporting of Status/Progress of MOVE Activities and 5S to colleagues and Management

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Management preferred) or equivalent experience

  • MOVE (Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing. Single Piece Flow Methodologies of Production Continuous Process Improvement) Philosophy Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of problem solving tools

  • Statistical concept & knowledge of quality specifications

  • Trainer experience and leadership experience, preferred

  • Analytical problem-solving skills Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Good communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Experience in Kaizen Program, time study, bottleneck theory and lean manufacturing techniques, preferred

  • Training and experience with six-sigma problem solving, preferred Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Access Database software; SAP manufacturing software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Word Processing software

The Literature & Distribution Specialist assembles, routes, inventories, and processes various types of mail and literature by performing the following duties. Summary of Essential Job Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Additional duties may also be assigned. * Prepares incoming and outgoing mail for distribution including maintaining accurate records. * Sorts and distributes mail to proper mail bins. * Receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment and other items from stockroom. * Receives, unpacks, verifies and records incoming materials. * Arranges for the transportation of items. * Operates machines that address, fold, stuff, seal and stamp mail. * Travels to delivery sites on foot and via company provided vehicle. * Engages in electronic file management including scanning, filing and maintaining record retention requirements. * Assembles specified literature orders as indicated by distribution tables or instructions. * Requisitions and stores materials to maintain stock. * Answers phone calls from sales employees, distributors, architects, roofers, homeowners and other customers for literature needs. * Keys, prints, and closes literature orders in the order entry system. * Physically packs literature orders and maintains record of correct addresses, package weights and shipping methods. * Transports boxes by lifting and/or using two-wheel cart. * Completes physical inventory count as required. * Engages in inventory management. * Engages in process improvement; applies Six Sigma methodology to continuously improve existing processes. * Maintains and promotes a clean and efficient work space. * Successfully works with multiple departments including customer service, accounting, marketing, sales and HR to coordinate distribution and processes. Requirements * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, 2 year degree preferred. * Ability to comprehend and draft simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. * Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. * Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Six Sigma Green Belt preferred. * Have or able to obtain prior to employment a Class E driver's license and a clean driving record. Computer Skills * To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software particularly Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint. SAP, Esker and warehouse management experience is preferred.
