Mountwest Secret Shopper (Contractual)

Mountwest is seeking 3-4 Secret Shoppers that will undergo the admissions and registration process at Mountwest Community & Technical College with the purpose of identifying areas of improvement. Each individual secret shopper selected shall have a diverse background from other secret shoppers regarding educational obtainment. The experience must be completed prior to the beginning of the Fall 2023 academic semester.

Payment: $500.00 plus reimbursement of costs incurred as disclosed below.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Explore the website and provide feedback according to the provided questionnaire regarding user experience.

• Apply and register at Mountwest as a student, going through the entirety of the admissions process all the way through to registration & orientation, and financial aid. The purpose is to provide feedback regarding the experience according to the provided questionnaire.

• Complete a FAFSA, request official transcripts from College (if applicable) or high school (if applicable), test scores (if applicable), and other required components of the admissions process in order to have an authentic experience resulting in useful data.

• Understand that their may be up-front costs associated with the admissions process outside of Mountwest's control. Costs reimbursed by Mountwest are disclosed below.

• Remain anonymous through the entire process to Mountwest personnel except those leading the Secret Shopper project, and those who must know in order to process appropriate paperwork for payment of fulfillment of duties.

• Complete the questionnaires provided by Mountwest.

• Make additional recommendations based on the experience of the secret shopper.

• Check in on a weekly basis with Mesha Shamblin, Vice President, regarding their progress through the secret shopper experience.

Mountwest will:

• Provide questionnaires for the Secret Shopper to complete

• Reimburse the secret shopper for fees regarding the request of official transcripts or test scores so long as an adequate receipt is provided within a reasonable timeframe.

• Check in on a weekly basis with Secret Shoppers to ensure they are progressing through the project

• Provide payment at the end of the project of $500 plus reimbursement of costs incurred as described earlier.

• Remove the student from the system once the secret shopper project is complete, unless otherwise requested by the secret shopper.

Actual terms and conditions will be outlined in the contract prior to services being conducted. The signed contract will be the binding document of services provided.

How to Apply: Interested parties should submit a word document detailing current educational obtainment, a disclosure of if any college credits have been earned, if you identify as a non-traditional or traditional student, and any other relevant information to current educational obtainment to hr@mctc.edu .
