Mountain Dining Warehouse Lead Full Time Winter Seasonal Northstar

Summary:

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for overseeing nightly product movement, lodge re-stocking, rotation of product, and trash removal. The Mountain Dining Warehouse Lead position is supervisory role in the Mountain Dining Department. The Lead manages the staff in day to day tasks while under the management's scope. Leads help make sure the operations run smoothly each day, that the staff is on task, receives breaks each day, and is being safe.

Requirements:

  • Educational Requirements:
    HS Diploma or GED

  • Ability to speak, read and communicate clearly in English

  • Professionalism and strong guest service skills, attention to detail and timeliness

  • Flexible schedule required during peak times throughout the year

  • Ability to Ski/Ride at an Intermediate Level (on mountain lodges only)

  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours

  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card

  • Previous Warehouse Experience - preferred

  • Forklift, Pallet Jack, Snowmobile, and Box Truck driving experience - preferred

  • Valid Driver's License - preferred

  • Ability to lift/carry 50-100lbs

  • Ability to communicate with employees and customers to provide excellent service

  • Educational Requirements:
    HS Diploma or GED

Work Schedule:

Please note this is an evening/night time position. Must have a flexible work schedule which includes holidays and weekends. Full Time (40 hours a week) shifts are available as well as the opportunity for Overtime during Peak business periods.

The Lead Guest Services Specialist is a part of the Product Sales & Service Department. This position is responsible for satisfying and exceeding guest expectations by delivering outstanding guest experiences through resort and product knowledge. The Product Sales & Service Department is a high-volume department with a large amount of guest service interaction. This Lead assists with daily operations and communications for the Kids Ski & Board School. This Lead may also rotate to the Ticket & Season Pass Office, Call Center, Northstar Sports, Adventure, Guiding, & Learning Center, and any Ski and Snowboard School booking office. Essential Job Responsibilities Include: * Accurately, efficiently, and independently process lift access products while capturing guest data. * Sell lessons, lift tickets, rentals, and retail; assist with the rental process when needed. * Deliver exceptional guest service to internal and external guests. * Provide accurate resort, village, and local information to the guest. * Develop in-depth knowledge of all resort product offerings, those within the Product Sales and Service department and Kids Ski & Board School, as well as those throughout the resort. * Display accurate cash handling skills; perform daily sales and close procedures while following company and departmental policies and procedures. * Assist in the training, supervising, and guiding of staff to achieve specific goals and objectives. * Communicate in a courteous and respectful manner to all internal and external guests. * Assist in the resolution of all guest complaints; handle difficult guest problems in accordance with company policy and procedures. * Adhere to all departmental and company policies and procedures. * Meet service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor. * Assist management with new employee training. * Ensure each location has adequate supplies to perform the day-to-day operations based on business volume. * Troubleshoot product issues and follow up with the appropriate staff or guest. * Understand corporate and resort specific policies and procedures. * Establish personal strengths and areas of focus through self-assessment and on-going training and feedback from the Northstar Management Team; participate in all departmental and resort training and development courses. * Actively work in all areas of Product Sales and Service and/or in any areas of the Northstar Resort. * Work cooperatively with the Kids Ski & Board School management team. * Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: * Strong communication skills; must be able to use proper English and grammar in speech and writing at all times. * Ability to maintain composure under pressure. * Able to work independently and demonstrate team spirit. * Strong attention to detail. * Must enjoy working with people of all ages. * Ability to learn and speak intelligently about ALL of the resort products offered. Preferred Skills and Experience: * Previous guest service experience preferred. * High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. * Strong computer skills with a good understanding of Microsoft Windows preferred. * Prior experience with Resort POS software preferred; at minimum, a desire to learn and master the various modules and the products they contain. * Prior cash handling experience preferred.
