Welcome to Epic Discovery, the Summer experience at Breckenridge. It's a mountain of possibilities that enables you to discover nature through fun in ways you'd never imagined while engaging with our guests to provide a true Experience of a Lifetime. Discover a side of the mountain you've never seen, an experience revealed but once a year. It's an uncharted season, where roaming through treetops, riding the horizon, and stretching the bounds of nature allow you to reach your peak.

The Mountain Activities Operations Guide provides attentive and friendly guest service to visitors of the GoldRunner Coaster, Alpine Slide, and Base Area Activities. The Goldrunner Coaster is an elevated roller coaster track where our guests race down the mountain on 2,500 feet of hairpin curves and twists. The Alpine Slide is another 2,600 foot long thrill ride down the mountain filled with dips and banked turns. Our Base activities include multiple experiences such as the Bungee Trampoline, Gem Stone Sluice, Maze, Kid's Climbing Wall, and Bounce House. Operations Guides will be based at one area of our summer activities to become true stakeholders of safety and guest service concerning their area. There may be times where the Operations Guides will assist with other areas of the resort when needed.

Responsibilities include; but are not limited to:

  • Promote safety in the participation for our guests and fellow team members.

  • Promote a positive outlook for the company by being enthusiastic and inspiring.

  • Greeting and providing guest service throughout the resort.

  • Work cooperatively and effectively with other team members to meet operational guidelines.

  • Attend and instruct guests in use of equipment in an engaging and friendly manner.

  • Complete all required documentation at your activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to work in a family environment in a professional manner

  • Able to lift 55 lbs. repetitively for shifts of 30 - 60 minutes alternating with other employees

  • Able to use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) as well as manual excavation tools (shovel, pick, etc.)

  • Able to walk uphill at a moderate pace at elevation of 10,500 feet +

  • Able to communicate instruction for and monitor participation in various areas.

  • Able to communicate directions in English for 60 minutes at a time

  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

The Summer Guest Service Driver/Lift Ops Support will work 4 (10) hour shifts/week. This is a unique position - individuals in this role will primarily work as a Guest Service Driver, and assist as a Summer Lift Operations 1-2 days/week. The Transportation Driver requires driving a bus with a capacity of 16 or more passengers, to transport guests from the bottom of the Gondola to the top of the Gondola. Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to): * Assists guests with loading and unloading equipment and other personal items * Monitors vehicle's safety devices and working conditions and reports issues to vehicle maintenance * Builds positive relations with guests by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions * Comprehensive knowledge of and adherence to all safe driving regulations and standards. The Summer Lift Operations Attendant provides friendly, attentive service to guests using the lifts at the Fun Park in the summer. Additional responsibilities include, (but are not limited to): * Promote safety in the use of lifts. * Complete pre-operational procedures and inspections for lifts. * Know correct procedures for loading and unloading chairlifts * Monitor lift machinery during the operating day * Follow establish guidelines for weather closures and re-opening procedures * Know emergency procedures for lift operations * Load and unload bikes at Colorado Superchair Job Requirements: * Able to work outside in all conditions * Able to communicate in English * Prior guest service experience * At least 21 years of age * Possess a Colorado CDL license with a passenger endorsement (We will provide training to attain your CDL) * Availability to start work May 18 if you require CDL training * Pass a background check * Satisfactory driving record Must be able to work 4 (full time) ten hour days including at least one weekend day, and holidays if they fall on your shift If you're hard working and feel exhilarated serving others, you'll feel right at home in our authentic ski town and world-class mountain resort.
