1.Operates an unconventional or multi-unit public transit vehicle which is larger and longer than traditional vans or trucks more difficult to maneuver when turning and braking.
2.Transports large groups of people on trips to locations throughout the installation.
3.Assists with loading and unloading of passengers.
4.Ensures vehicle is not loaded beyond the rated capacity.
5.Drives in a variety of driving situations such as public roads, narrow country roads in all types of traffic.
6.Ensures the safe travel of passengers.
7.Completes trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records. Performs preventive maintenance.
8.Arranges for towing and unexpected repairs. Arranges for parking and storage as required.
9.Fill out driver's accident report in case of accident. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.

Required to possess/maintain a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Experience operating a multi-passenger vehicle and/or multiple trailer compartment/attachment is preferred (i.e. trolley train).
This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) as required by Army Regulation 600-85. As a condition of employment, a negative drug test is required prior to appointment for a TDP. Incumbent will be subject to subsequent random drug test as required.
Pre-employment physical is required prior to appointment in the position.
Experience and training that furnish the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the duties of this position consistent with accepted practices of the trade. Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand, and apply instruction and other materials related to the job. Ability to do the work of the position under normal supervision.
Training/education or experience must include the following:
Skill in operating vehicles over a variety of roads
Skill in using judgment to load and unload individuals, clearances, turning radius, safe braking distances, etc.
Knowledge of vehicle safety regulations to determine when mechanical or operational problems indicate that vehicles are unsafe for operation
Required to possess/maintain a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
