MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANIC/INSTRUCTOR (MTV-19-1155):
Bowhead is looking for a qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic/Instructor to perform Total Package Fielding, Mechanic and Instructor duties for our US ARMY Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV) Program. Duties and responsibilities will include:
De-process and perform operational checks on end items to be fielded in accordance with checklist and instructions provided by the COR, and PM Representative.
Correct and repair any deficiencies identified during de-processing.
Accomplish all necessary service and repairs identified in applicable Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC) Operator through Field Level Maintenance (FLM). This shall include maintenance and repair of all training vehicles to include Armor Training Vehicles.
Install any kits identified in the MRL and any approved by the COR. This may include Arctic Kits for Cold Region areas and Armor Kits for any area.
Requisition replacements for all repair parts, components, and major assemblies found to be defective, to include all training vehicles.
Take appropriate action in accordance with the Hand-Off Warranty provisions of the end item Task orders and the appropriate Warranty Technical Bulletins, including the submission of DA FORMS 2407 to the Equipment Manufacturer for Supplies required and Labor reimbursement.
De-process, load software, perform operational checks on the Maintenance Support Device (MSD) with ICE and any future generations of this type of equipment.
Prepare all paper and electronic documentation to complete Handoffs and comply with PBUSE requirements.
Provide training and certification to receiving units.
Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent
Successful candidate will also be required to achieve and maintain Instructor qualifications. Training will be provided on site.
Position requires a CDL "A" Driver's license.
Proficient in the use of the MSD-ICE (Maintenance Support Device-Internal Combustion Engine) diagnostic tool and the associated IETMs - (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals) to perform troubleshooting, repair procedures and identify needed repair parts for the FMTV fleet. In depth knowledge of the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV).
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust (NACI) level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Physical Demands: The office environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting. Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Ergonomic evaluations are completed as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations.
