Job Title: Motor Vehicle Mechanic Helper
EMCOR Government Services is in need of a Motor Vehicle Mechanic Helper in Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists one or more workers in the skilled vehicle maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill, such as keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools; cleaning working area, machine and equipment; assisting journeyman by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by journeyman.
The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies. The helper is confined to supplying, lifting and holding materials and tools and cleaning working areas; and is permitted to perform specialized machine operations or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis. Performs repair of small engine equipment.
Performs basic generator maintenance and repair as instructed. Other duties/tasks as assigned
Experience: Three years related experience in motor vehicle, equipment, small engine and generator maintenance is desired.
In an 8-hour day, must be able to continually bend, squat, kneel, lift, twist, climb, reach, stand and walk; to use hands for repetitive pushing, pulling, and single grasp motion; and to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and to move objects in excess of 50 pounds, and travel by government or company vehicle to work location or to other destinations as required.
Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license, insurable driving record, and the ability to read and write English.
Must be able to pass a company drug screen and background check. Must possess a Fort Huachuca Access Badge or be able to obtain an access badge.
Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision. Must be able to deal with others in a diplomatic and positive manner.
