Motor Technician/Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

We have an opening for Motor Technician / Shipping & Receiving Coordinator based out of our Midland, TX location. The Motor Technician / Shipping Receiving Coordinator is accountable for repairing and rebuilding mud motors, as well as shipping and receiving; with proper documentation, tracking equipment, assisting in quality control, and coordinating shipments.

This opening is for:

Day shift -7 am to 6 pm

Monday to Friday, with on call on weekends every other weekend.

Responsibilities also include:

• Adjust motor bends, add external components, and perform tool inspections.

• Be on call to respond to after-hours, and weekend requests and inquiries.

• Document and record all components per procedure.

• Maintain the shop area and yard per shift.

• Send defective tools for rebuild qualifications.

• Obtain safety training as deemed necessary by the safety department.

• Ship and receive tools to and from all field locations.

• Strap motors and maintain a live inventory in the yard and all field locations.

• Operate forklift and overhead crane.

• Perform preventive maintenance on forklift daily.

• Assist in quality control for all items received.

• Verify that all tools have been received and recorded in inventory.

• Operate Company vehicle when required.

• Assist other departments with various projects when time permits.

• Perform all duties so as to meet the responsibilities listed in the Employee and Corporate HSE Handbooks.

• Perform duties according to the Company's quality system procedures and work instructions.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and a minimum 2 years of oil and gas industry experience. They will be detail oriented with solid organizational and communication skills, and be capable of working unsupervised. They must have a valid Driver's License and a current driver's abstract. Previous mud motor technician experience and computer skills are considered assets.
