Who we are: Spectrum Networks is a series of 27 hyper-local news and 9 regional sports networks owned and operated by Charter Communications, Inc. Spectrum Networks seeks to provide the most essential local news and information, cultivating relevant and thoughtful conversations that foster informed and engaged communities.

The Environment: Spectrum News is a 24-hour breaking news network which requires employees who are flexible and available to work various shift, including early morning, late evenings, weekends and holidays.

What we're looking for: The Graphic Designer will provide design services Spectrum Networks.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Update and maintain a consistent creative look on marketing materials for Spectrum Networks

  • Design and animate on air and digital graphics

  • Adhere to the Spectrum Networks style guide in all co-branded materials

  • Manage general upkeep of assigned company equipment

  • Maintain efficient filing and back-up procedures for graphics materials

  • Utilize correct grammar and spelling in design projects

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator & After Effects

  • Must be able to work under daily deadline pressure while demonstrating strong design skills

  • Must have ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

  • Must be able and willing to work an extended schedule and be flexible with schedule changes

  • Communication: excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate solutions; and able to relate well with diverse populations and age groups

  • Interpersonal: ability to interface with internal company personnel

  • Attitude: requires adaptability, enthusiasm, initiative and a positive approach to problem solving; must enjoy working with people

  • Must adhere to attendance guidelines

  • Must be able and willing to work different shifts and be flexible with schedule changes

Education & Experience:

  • College degree in graphic design or related field or comparable work experience
  • 3+ years' experience designing for television, print and web applications preferred

  • Overtime may be required to meet deadlines

  • Varying schedule due to, breaking news and/or daily news coverage requirements

  • Provide 24x7, 365 days per year, on-call support. May entail phone or physical presence at the facility for equipment failure or other disasters. This includes, but is not limited to equipment and power failures, loss of contracted services, storms or severe weather, and schedule conflicts

  • Participation in an established on-call rotation

What we're looking for: The HR Program Manager for Spectrum Networks is responsible for creating and executing programs and opportunities to attract, develop and retain our high potential talent population. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Partner with Charter Talent Acquisition and Spectrum Networks HR Senior Leadership in creating a universal talent pre-assessment platform for Spectrum Networks; responsible for maintaining the program and ensuring it is used consistently throughout the footprint * Help design a best-in-class entry-level editorial training program in order to support Spectrum Networks in developing its own highly skilled talent trained to produce brilliant content for its customers * Create an internal mobility framework used to fulfull staffing gaps, promote career growth and support succession planning and workforce planning amongst all newsrooms and sports offices; maintain program to continually promote internal mobility throughout Spectrum Networks * Assist in designing a program to support freelance talent in order to retain top talent when there aren't staff positions to move them into * Responsible for training junior hiring managers on proper interviewing techniques * Assists in the training and education of HR staff members on new programs, processes and practices * Monitors projects and programs after implementation and recommends changes as necessary * Other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned Qualifications: Skills/Abilities and Knowledge * Familiarity with the different HR functional areas such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compliance, Employee Relations * Strong foundational knowledge of recruitment practices and procedures * Ability to challenge and influence while building effective relationships and partnering with key stakeholders * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects * Program management experience to include leading, planning, organizing and implementing human resource related projects or programs Education & Experience: * Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources and/or equivalent professional experience * 4+ years of HR generalist and/or recruitment/staffing experience, including Talent * Acquisition, Talent Management, Compliance, Employee Relations * 3+ years of Broadcast Media/Newsroom experience Working Conditions: * Travel required Candidates can be located anywhere within the Spectrum footprint Our Culture: Every employee is an influencer and culture keeper.
