ATTENTION MOTION GRAPHIC DESIGNERS. Ask yourself the following questions?
1.Can you run faster than a speeding train or make it look as though you can with After Effects?
2.Can you lose your mind without losing your cool?
3.Can you develop a logo, while creating a print ad, while assisting a co-worker, while brainstorming for a promo, and still be able to tell a good joke?

ABC11 Eyewitness News (WTVD), a Disney/ABC owned television station in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, has a need for a talented designer like yourself. However, talent alone only gets you so far.

Along with having a dynamic portfolio, you must have drive, an eye for detail, and most importantly the ability to adapt. This full-time position will challenge you to find new ways to visually communicate various ideas and themes, all in the effort of promoting the ABC11 brand. Your ability to communicate effectively through use of typography, video, and composition is essential; along with your ability to thrive under pressure and meet daily deadlines.

Join the Audience Development Team and be a part of our innovative workflow for fast creative. Using real-time data, you'll be able to quickly turn your ideas into content for ABC11. Your ability to create graphics and video that people want to share will set you apart.

Technical requirements for this position are: expertise with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, & Illustrator. Any experience with Flash and/or web development is a definite plus.

Someone able to hit the ground running (three or more years of relative design experience) is ideal and will be heavily weighted. Your salary will be based on experience. Exhibiting interest in physical architecture and network design, and familiar with spreadsheet-based formulas, you can both calculate the cost of design and design to cost. You're adaptable and fluent within both pre-sale and post-installation project spaces. Fluency includes authentication, access control, policy creation, policy enforcement, application acceleration, roaming, EMS/NMS, scale, redundancy and reliability in controller-based WiFi architectures. You know radio frequency (RF) behavior characteristics, 802.11 wireless standards, current routing and switching protocols, and hardware vendor limitations, which you use to gauge the success of your designs. Designers like you are expanding our commercial WiFi deployment capabilities. Merge customers' wireless and back-office core requirements with strategic business objectives, transforming them into comprehensive WiFi design options. You'll use state-of-the-art equipment to troubleshoot pre-existing architectures while build out their WiFi environments. Assess network performance, including response time, throughput, and availability. Partner with operational support, sales teams, and sales engineer support groups to continuously review and deliver reliable network designs. This includes making recommendations for technical solutions and service offerings. If global issues appear, you'll collaborate with vendors to determine their root causes and find the most efficient path to resolution. What it takes to get started The minimum requirements for the WiFi Designer role are: * Certification in at least one of the following: CCNA, CCNA-Wireless, CWNA, or CWNP * The Wifi Designer will have strong knowledge in fundamental IP/Ethernet networking and 802.11 wireless principles. * Experience with Ruckus, Cisco, and Meraki large scale WiFi Implementations. * The Wifii Designer has a fundamental understanding of modern router architecture (control plane and forwarding plane separation, switch fabric design, egress queuing, DHCP, and port security) * Hands-on experience with working knowledge of LAN Switching architecture, including design and implementation in large facilities. * Fundamental knowledge in packet-based protocols, such as TCP/IP (including protocols like DHCP, DNS, TCP, UDP, etc.), MPLS and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP4. * The Wifii Designer has knowledge of optical transport systems, HVAC, and power distribution systems. Education MS/MA degree or BS/BA in related discipline (e.g., EE, CS, etc.) and 2 – 4 years of experience in a related field. Will consider additional related industry experience and certifications in lieu of degree. Related Work Experience * Minimum 3+ years as a technical specialist/engineer in a Telecommunications/Wireless/MSO company supporting IEEE 802.11 technologies.
