Description

The Mortgage Transaction Coordinator (MTC) plays a key role in the execution of our mortgage loan process between our (TPO Wholesale) BCU Mortgage clients and our Operations Team. The MTC is responsible for working with the sales team to recruit and onboard new clients, help with the application process for the client and eventually assist the client with new consumer applications, assisting in selection of appropriate loan product for the client, pricing, locking, document gathering and review, and coordinating the loan process through closing.. The ideal candidate will be well-versed with Encompass (LOS), TPO Connect (Client Portal), Consumer Connect and rate calculations/pricing tools.

Successful onboarding of BCU Clients and continued training while guiding them through the BCU Mortgage process; from application through closing; creating a seamless customer experience; both the bank's and the consumer.

After one year as our Mortgage Transaction Coordinator, you will know you were successful if you…

• Works with the Correspondent Sales Team to advise clients of processes, procedures, and available amenities and products.

• Gathers BCU Client's application and works in conjunction with the Encompass Admin Team (TSP) to complete setup and assist in information and design required for their website build, or link.

• Complete onboarding and follow-up training for new clients.

• Assists clients with borrower applications, helping to ensure a complete application through TPO Connect or Consumer Connect.

• Knowledge of all BCU products and ability to quote rates from Merchants-BCU daily rate sheets.

• Review client/borrower loan applications for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all aspects of the application and required documents are entered and received.

• Complete any necessary URLA-1003 updates, pull/review credit, pricing/locking loans, run automated underwriting review, borrower document review, and submit file to BCU processing team.

• Attend training on applicable subjects when available and appropriate.

• Maintain extensive knowledge of the BCU Mortgage Services program and process. Update Process & Procedures document when appropriate and review with Operations Manager.

• Work with Operations and Sales management for upcoming industry or company announcements and prepare them for BCU Clients, posting in TPO-Connect

• Send the "BCU Quick Connect" newsletter to clients periodically to keep an active communication circle.

• Ongoing product training with BCU Clients

• Maintain files and reminders for annual client renewals.

Requirements

What we are looking for…

• Strong understanding of Encompass, Consumer Connect, Product/Pricing; and preferred understanding of TPO Connect

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years mortgage lending/operations experience; or High School equivalent with 5-10 years mortgage lending/operations experience.

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of residential mortgage origination, process, underwriting criteria and guidelines

• Excellent verbal and written customer service skills

• This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
