Brief Description of the Organization
CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world.In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis.With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential.This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Description of the Position
This individual will be an essential member of the Private Bank Residential Real Estate Shared Services team which is tasked with ensuring the quality and efficiency of the processing of home loans and real estate financing for Private Bank Clients.
Specific duties include:
Perform business critical quality reviews of mortgage loans against a predefined list of common and historical criteria to preemptively identify and address all gaps prior to issuance of said documentation to clients or closing agents
Conduct pre and post-closing quality reviews of home equity and first mortgages and identify potential red flags or causes of concerns that may or may not be listed under established audit criteria
Identifies non-conformance with established processing procedures and makes recommendations to address weaknesses or deficiencies
Identifies and implements process improvements and automation opportunities to improve the efficiency and output of the Mortgage Shared Service & processing teams
Proactively seeks training and guidance to obtain a deep understanding of the key processes in the Residential Real Estate business
Maintains proficient knowledge of the Bank's policies, guidelines, and state and federal regulations, including but not limited to HMDA, ECOA, CRA, Truth in Lending Act-Reg Z, RESPA-Reg B, CFPB and other related regulations.
Works on projects of varying complexity, ensuring accuracy, internal consistency, uniformity, and compliance with regulatory commitments, internal processes and procedures and management expectations

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to articulate complex scenarios in a narrative format and provide detailed reports based upon findings
Good technical skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
Experience in mortgage loan processing or equivalent work experience within the mortgage industry preferred
Ability to multi-task as well as work independently and as a team member
Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Office), with the ability to learn new software and to summarize and present data in an effective manner. Ability to use the internet for research
Ability to understand all aspects of loan programs and internal and external mortgage related guidelines and regulations
Knowledge of Process Governance, process mapping as well as process and procedure documentation
Strong desire to learn and grow and to be an expert in the business supported
