This is a full-time career opportunity that will be based out of our Mount Laurel, NJ office.

Supervises mortgage originators. Oversees sales, marketing and budgetary functions.

Originates, or assists, in origination of all residential mortgage products. Participates in industry related activities in an effort to promote business development.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties

  • Responsible for the bank wide sales and marketing efforts of residential mortgage lending. Developing marketing strategies to promote residential mortgage lending.

    Coordinating marketing efforts with branch lending employees providing assistance with delivering specialized and appropriate mortgage products. Developing, supervising, and implementing annual Retail Marketing Plan. Providing appropriate levels of support to the Private Banking Department.

    Participates in the ongoing dialogue between Residential Mortgage Origination Department and the Commercial Real Estate Lending Department to create business opportunities and improve overall relationships with existing builder and developer customers. Oversees the bank's participation in industry related sponsorships, shows, and seminars.

  • Responsible for human resource management at the departmental level as defined by Managing for Success. Managing employee performance by establishing clear and specific goals and standards.

    Providing ongoing and formal feedback. Rewarding and recognizing employee's accomplishments. Prioritizing and participating in long term staff training and development.

    Responsible for ensuring the Mortgage Consultants are cross selling other Fulton Bank products and services to current and prospective customers. Managing the process within the department by providing direction and coaching on priorities and delivering incremental improvement. Providing leadership within the department by encouraging open communication and marketing ideas effectively throughout the Bank.

    Developing, promoting, and managing a departmental team environment within which employees perform individually and collectively to achieve department goals. Encouraging employees to proactively seek training and development to become more skilled in achieving goals. Making staffing decisions to include work schedules, promotions, hiring, cross training and assigning responsibility to ensure the right people are available to meet customer needs.

  • Responsible for the sales of mortgage products and services. Developing and introducing new mortgage products and services in conjunction with the Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Manager.

    Developing an overall sales plan to include strategies and specific sales objectives. Meeting with Executive Vice President Sales Marketing Manager and head of Retail Banking Division in December of each year to develop market sales goals for the following year, develop prospect lists, identify calling plans and follow up, and develop strategies to obtain goals. Maintain sufficient communications with market team members and sales managers on prospecting progress and market development.

    Identifies opportunities to add value to calls by introducing product specialists to prospects and customers. Participates as a member in professional, community, and nonprofit organizations.

  • Solicits residential first mortgages through contact with realtors, builders, and developers. Provides service to customers and prospective customers seeking residential mortgage loans.

    Obtains and analyzes pertinent financial and credit data. Follows current loans to ensure conformity with terms. Negotiates terms and conditions for mortgage and consumer loan products.

    Keeps informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to private mortgages. Calls on potential or existing customers as assigned to develop new business or retain existing business. Responsible for cross selling other Fulton Bank products and services to current and prospective customers.


Candidate Education:

Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Candidate Experience:

Required 4+ years Recent, residential mortgage lending experience

Preferred 2 -3 years Supervision of sales managers and/or loan officers
